2009 Feature Gardens Applications Now Being Accepted
The 2009 Colorado Garden & Home Show will celebrate its 50th anniversary February 7-15, 2009 at the Colorado Convention Center. Applications for feature gardens are now being accepted from Colorado landscape companies to demonstrate their skills to 70,000 attendees plus thousands more through extended media coverage.
Landscape companies will be selected based on the submitted design, reputation, and knowledge of providing Coloradans with excellent landscape construction while focusing on the environmental challenges with living in Colorado.
Feature Gardeners at the Colorado Garden & Home Show will receive a $3.00 per square foot stipend to install their garden. They will also receive an additional stipend to purchase flowers through the show’s grower. In addition to providing greenhouse space to force shrubs and trees, the show will furnish the mulch, sod and cut trees.
Each landscape company will be provided with 100 square feet within the garden as “booth space” to promote the company’s services. Most of the landscape companies receive enough bid requests at the show to last the entire year!
If you are interested in becoming a Feature Gardener, click here for an application. Applications are being accepted from any interested Colorado company and are due no later than March 31st.
