The 2012 Standard Flower Show is presented by the Colorado Federation of Garden Clubs Council. As in years past, the flower competition is a major component of the Colorado Garden & Home Show and this year’s show is themed Out of This World. The creative designs and artistic crafts are interpretations of “Life beyond the Earth” using fresh plant material.

Eclectically Designed Cakes Showcase “Butterfly Migration” Theme

The Colorado Garden & Home Show again features a competition of eclectically designed cakes. The themes for this year’scake categories are “Butterfly Migration.” The juried competition, which features amazing cakes, is presented by the Colorado Chapter of the International Cake Exploration Societé (ICES), and takes place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11.
